Do not eat, drink or smoke after midnight on the night prior to your procedure. (This Is Very Important)

You must have someone drive you home after the procedure.

Do not take any pain medications after midnight prior to your procedure. It is important that you are in pain at the time of the procedure.

No aspirin, anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications for 3 days prior to procedure. Patients taking prescription blood thinning medications must have approval from prescribing physician before discontinuing medications.

Insuling dependent patients may take 1/2 usual dose prior to procedure, and 1/2 dose following procedure. Patients taking oral diabetes medications may take usual dose before 7 a.m. with small sip of water or wait until after the procedure.

Patients taking heart or blood pressure medications may take usual dose before 7 a.m. with small sip of water.
